Inflight Entertainment

If you’ve ever been on a plane, the flight attendants run a short demonstration of flight safety procedures right before takeoff. This procedure is usually very dry and boring, like most passengers I’m usually reading a book or magazine while the demonstration continues. It was interesting to find that a Philippines airline by the name of Cebu Pacific has taken the the bland flight safety procedure and added a little twist of pop into the mix. In this video, a flight attendant is is demonstrating how Cebu Pacific show off their safety procedures with a bit of dancing and music from Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
This approach takes makes safety a bit more interesting and fun for passengers. Whether this method works or not, the demonstration turned many heads. Cebu Pacific states that this was only an experiment, but I say if passengers are engaged and the information gets across then continue with the dancing.
Now I’m not saying that all instructions need a musical to get information across to the viewer. I feel that the norm for displaying information is very repetitive which in turn becomes dull. We should make information more engaging than the same old informative videos and pamphlets.
